Hovertravel goes pink for Breast Cancer Campaign

Once again Hovertravel is supporting Breast Cancer Campaign’s Isle of Pink money raising activity throughout October to raise funds for vital research into breast cancer.  This year Hovertravel has focused on its Terminal at Ryde, by displaying the largest Breast Cancer Campaign pink bows available (9ft tall !!) on the front of the terminal and on the hoverpad side.  Inside the terminal pink balloons, banners, leaflets and posters are being displayed and staff are sporting Breast Cancer Campaign sashes, T-shirts or Pink ties.  Collection buckets are also available for donations.

Last year Hovertravel supported the campaign by turning Solent Express – its 130 seater hovercraft pink – which generated a lot of interest and publicity for the campaign.  Hovertravel hopes to raise as much awareness and publicity for the campaign this year, if not more.

Loretta Lale, Hovertravel’s Commercial & Marketing Manager, said “Hovertravel are delighted to support the Breast Cancer Campaignagain and hope to raise even more money and awareness than we did last year. I don’t think our pink Breast Cancer Campaign bows will go unnoticed!”

The ‘Isle of Pink’ is a fundraising initiative organised by Breast Cancer Campaign in order to raise extra funds during Breast Cancer Awareness Month for vital research into breast cancer. A variety of local businesses, tourist attractions and individuals will be holding pink-themed events and activities throughout the month.
