NEW Improved Connections between Hovertravel & South West Trains

I am pleased to advise from 7^th June our connection times with Island Line Trains and South West Trains from Portsmouth to London have been improved. See the new timetables available shortly for the full details, but by leaving Ryde at 06:15 you will be in London for 08:32.

NEW early departure time & Change of departure times from Southsea & Ryde

To be able to improve our connection times and run an earlier service, we will be operating a revised schedule from 7^th June – departing Ryde at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour and 00 and 30 past the hour from Southsea. We will still be operating a 15min service at Peak times, early and late Mon-Fri. The 0630 will now dept at 0615. Pick up a new timetable shortly.

Season Card Holders – change in prices

Hovertravel has maintained a ‘freeze’ on Season Card prices since 1^st Jan 2010, offering cards at 2009 prices.  However, from the 7^th June all Season Cards fares will be increasing by approximately 2%. The Season Card rates offer significant savings for our regular travellers, with our yearly card offering a daily rate of just £3.51 day rtn*, plus Hovertravel Season Cards are up to 16% cheaper compared to other operators. Hovertravel strives to offer the lowest fares across the Solent and to do this we will no longer be able to offer the extendable tickets from 7^th June 2010.  Don’t forget to complete your preferred times, following the changes to the timetable from 7^th June (form available from the terminals) 

No travel restrictions for Academics – Christmas & Easter plus NEW Adult Academic Season Card

Holders of the current Child Academic season cards can now enjoy travel over Easter & Christmas at no additional charge. Following customer demand, we are pleased to offer an Adult Academic Season card, perfect for Teachers and Trainers.  

FREE HoverBus Travel for Season Card Holders.

For all Season Cards holders issued with 6 & 12mth cards from 7^th June only, Hovertravel is pleased to advise that you will be able to use our HoverBus free of charge – a saving of up to £380**. The Hoverbus connects the Hoverport in Southsea with The Hard (Portsmouth Harbour & GunWharf Quays) and Portsmouth Commercial Rd & Station.

EASY PAYMENT PLAN when paying by Direct Debit

Now available for our regular passengers purchasing 12mth season cards.  Choose the Direct Debit option to spread the cost across the year on a payment plan. Ask at our Ticket Office for an application form.  

NEW Travel cards

From the 7^th June, we will be introducing a range of travel cards for 20, 40, 100 or 250 single journeys. These cards allow travel from just £3.10*” per adult single journey, guaranteeing a low cost trip across the Solent every time. The travel cards will replace frequent flyer and books of tickets.
