Southsea Team Leader Vacancy
Due to internal development we have a vacancy for a Team Leader at our Southsea terminal.
Job Purpose:
As a Team Leader, your role, working with your counterpart at the Ryde terminal, is to ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining high standards of customer service, safety, and compliance with company policies. You will manage team performance, craft utilisation, and handle customer communications, especially during delays. Additionally, you will assist with staffing, training, and mentoring apprentices, and help maximize revenue through effective resource and sales management.
This role has on a shift pattern following a two on (early), two on (late) and two off, with early shifts starting at 0545 at the Southsea terminal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, including terminal opening/closing, cash reconciliation, and timetable adherence.
- Ensure safety compliance and timely customer communications.
- Manage staff scheduling, sickness, and training programs.
- Drive sales and monitor stock levels in vending machines and the Hovershop.
- Support revenue protection and ensure accurate ticketing.
- Maintain high standards of team uniform, terminal presentation, and customer service.
- Actively participate as a crew member on the hovercraft, ensuring passenger safety and compliance with safety procedures. (all training provided)
Skills & Qualities:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to make clear decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Flexibility and excellent team-working skills.

Master
We're currently recruiting a master to join our team of dedicated pilots.
In order to take command of a hovercraft on this route, an individual must hold one of the following STCW95 Certificates of Competence (CoC);
- Master II/2 or 11/3, (Unlimited, <3000GT, or <500GT)
- Master II/3, limited to "Hovercraft less than 500GT on near-coastal voyages only"
- Appropriately qualified seafarers may apply to obtain this CoC issued by the MCA under STCW regulation II/3 as stated in MGN1856 and with reference to Annex D therein. In recognition of this, applications will be welcomed from holders of: Chief Mate II/2 or II/3 (Unlimited, or 3000GT)
